To ensure a seamless experience, Dr. Bolitho prefers that his patients arrive to the San Diego area at least a day before their procedure. This will give Dr. Bolitho, his medical staff, and your patient concierge, Karen, the opportunity to meet with you and address any questions you may have.

To ensure the highest level of care, all surgeries are performed under the supervision of board certified anesthesiologists. Dr. Bolitho’s surgical suite is steps away from the world famous Scripps Memorial Hospital.

Generally, our out-of-town patients have a relative or friend traveling with them. While this individual may offer to assist in your recovery following surgery, do know we can also make arrangements to have an experienced plastic surgery nurse stay with you. Depending on the procedure, some nurses stay a couple nights while others may stay a bit longer. For many family members and friends, a plastic surgery nurse specialist offers additional “peace of mind.”

Likewise, if our patient is traveling solo, they can have comfort knowing while they are healing a nurse will give them the personalized attention they require and deserve.

Dr. Bolitho reminds patients they should allow for sufficient recovery time. These times may vary depending on the procedure. However, patients usually stay between 7 to 10 days. Our unwavering mission is to make certain your surgical journey is as comfortable as possible.
