Kybella® is an alternative for patients wanting to address submental fullness, also referred to as a double chin, without surgical intervention. With minimal downtime, this injectable treatment is considered exceptional for the right candidates.
The injection series destroy fat cells on the underside of the chin.
Performed by a skilled aesthetic nurse, the area of these injections will be strategically mapped out to achieve optimal aesthetic results.
Ideal candidates for Kybella are the following:
In your initial consultation, one of Dr. Bolitho’s aesthetic nurses will discuss Kybella treatments and determine whether or not it will be an optimal treatment to reduce submental fullness. A skin care and medical history will also be assessed.
This office visit is your opportunity to be candid with your aesthetic goals and wishes while a skilled aesthetic nurse will carefully examine your facial area. It is also a time where an antiaging skin care routine can be implemented.
Before and after photos may also be taken for your file. The photographs will be downloaded to a state-of-the-art software program and reflect the areas of treatment and the immediate results following the procedure.
One of Dr. Bolitho’s aesthetic nurses will perform the Kybella injections which will last about 45 minutes or less. Before mapping out the injection sites, the nurse will apply a topical lidocaine cream to help minimize any discomfort.
Carefully, Kybella will slowly be delivered into the mapped areas.
Those who undergo this treatment may require two to four visits to achieve their aesthetic goals. Each visit will be spaced at least six weeks apart. Since every patient and their needs are different, the nurse will tailor the treatment to a patient’s wish list.
Those who undergo Kybella treatments may start to notice improvements as early as one month.
