During your consultation, Dr. Bolitho will have already determined where the fat donor site will be. Dr. Bolitho and his team will ensure your comfort at every level. Typically, the site is located in the thigh or buttock area.

There are three steps to the fat transfer procedure which includes the following:

  • Harvesting: Following a local anesthetic, fat is skillfully removed via liposuction.
  • Purification and Transfer: Following the collection of fat, the contents are prepared for a fat transfer. The purification portion of the procedure typically utilizes a centrifuge for filtration.
  • Placement: This is the last step in where Dr. Bolitho will transfer the fat to the areas being augmented. Oftentimes, there is more than one facial feature being augmented during the procedure. Dr. Bolitho carefully delivers the fat transfer until the optimal and natural looking volume is achieved.
