This office visit is a vital one because it’s your opportunity to be candid with Dr. Bolitho in where you can share your cosmetic goals and wishes. He will carefully examine your facial features.
Photos will be taken for your medical file and automatically downloaded to a state-of-the-art software program, Touch MD. The photographs will reflect the areas of potential cosmetic surgical treatment and are then uploaded to a touch screen in your examining room. Dr. Bolitho will utilize this software to get more in depth information regarding your aesthetic wishes. Dr. Bolitho will explain the surgical process with this touch screen and discuss the latest techniques he uses to achieve the most desired aesthetic outcome for your facial rejuvenation journey.
If you choose to move forward with your surgery, your patient coordinator will schedule a preoperative appointment. During this appointment you will meet with Dr. Bolitho once again to review your procedure and goals. You will also receive pre and postoperative detailed instructions. Dr. Bolitho will provide you with prescriptions prior to your surgery.
There are a few techniques for a brow lift surgery. The goal, of course, is for both the tissues and muscles underneath the skin to be guided to a new position. These tissues and muscles will be manipulated in such a way to achieve a youthful transformation.
After your anesthesia has been administered, Dr. Bolitho will utilize one of the following techniques making certain that the incisions are well concealed along the hairline or natural lines of your features:

Results appear gradually, as swelling and bruising subside to reveal a smoother forehead and a more youthful, restful appearance.
Following surgery, Dr. Bolitho may place surgical tape or dressings around your head to promote healing and decrease bruising.
While some swelling and bruising will occur postoperatively, you will begin to notice the cosmetic improvements once they begin to lessen.
Generally, patients return to work within two weeks of their procedure. In about two months, you will notice significant improvement.
Complete healing, though, may take up to several months.
